The Children’s Center of Augusta
We are a private nonprofit agency that provides services to children of all abilities.
For more than 40 years we have served children by
helping them develop the skills and tools they need for future learning. By providing families with support and information we guide them as
they work to meet their children's needs.
The Children's Center is a valuable resource to our community. We
work hard to engage the spirit of our mission: children, parents, staff
and board alike. Visitors are always impressed with the great things
happening here. Please visit us and see for yourself!

Our Vision
The Children's Center's vision is a world where communities, families and caregivers join together to create nurturing environments in which children of all abilities are embraced as unique and valued individuals.
Our Mission
The mission of the Children's Center is to meet the needs of children of all abilities by offering quality programs which encourage individual growth, provide support for their families, and promote inclusion of all children in the community.
Our Philosophy
We believe that children are unique individuals who learn best through creative play. We believe that children thrive when given the opportunity to develop social, emotional, and physical skills within an environment that provides peer interactions, nurturing adults, and developmentally appropriate materials. We believe that families are entitled to help and support in identifying their options and resources in accordance with their lifestyles and personal values. We believe that families, professional staff, and the community can work together to support children as they grow.
