Director of Early Education

 

 

The Children’s Center, a nonprofit early intervention and family support program for children ages birth through 5 years with special needs, is seeking an enthusiastic individual who loves working to support children in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

 

The Director of Early Education position is responsible for the provision of high

quality Early Intervention, education, and childcare programs by ensuring the

development of a qualified body of staff, following best practice and continually

improving program performance, and ensuring the fiscal performance of the department.

 

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Special Education, Pre-K 282 Endorsement from the Department of Education, and 3 – 5 years experience supervising Early Intervention services to children ages birth to five.  Strong oral and written communication skills and at least one year of experience supervising staff is required.  Experience with accreditation and fiscal management preferred.

CASE MANAGER

 

The Children’s Center, an early intervention and family support program for children ages birth through 5 years with special needs, is seeking a full-time (37.5 hours/week) Case Manager in Augusta.

The preferred candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.  Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field and 1 to 2 years experience providing case management or in-home services to families.  Required skills include excellent communication, ability to establish rapport, complete assessments, develop and evaluate plans, and accurately document interactions using a family strength-based approach.  Must also have a reliable vehicle.  Knowledge of Early Intervention and experience with children with special needs preferred.
