The Children's Center is an early invention and family support program for children ages birth through 5 years with special needs. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who loves working to support chldren in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
The pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant is primarily responsible for the treatment of children with identified neuromotor, orthopedic, and developmental disabilities or delays. The physical therapist assistant will also be responsible for documentation. The physical therapist assistant will consult at times, participate in IFSP/IEP meetings. Requirements are an associate's degree (60 credit hours) from an accredited licensed physical therapy program; a current State of Maine PTA license or be eligible for Maine licensure, and the willingness to learn to apply skills to a pediatric population.. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work cooperatively as a member of the early intervention and therapy teams.
